About this grant
The Garfield Weston Foundation provides capital grants for building works, repairs, and equipment. Applicants must secure relevant planning permissions and faculty permissions (for religious buildings) before applying. The Foundation expects organisations to have at least half the project costs raised beforehand, to demonstrate environmental efficiency improvements, and to explain how the project affects ongoing operating costs. Project quotes should be no more than three months old, and a contingency should be included in budgets.
