- —Residential landlords You or the organisation you represent are a residential landlord if you own or manage: a property that is let for people to live in (for example a flat) a property that has multiple units in it where people live (for example a block of flats) the common or communal spaces of a property that has multiple units in it where people live (for example an apartment block or a housing estate) When residential landlords can apply You can apply for the grant if you’re a: landlord with property to let right to manage (RTM) company or residents’ management company (RMC) company or person owning the freehold of a multi-unit property company owning a building’s common areas, including shareholders who are the leaseholders public sector organisation - for example government departments, local councils, the armed forces or the NHS and emergency services charity that manages or owns residential property registered social housing provider property management company that represents a landlord You must be a business either registered at Companies House or VAT registered with HMRC.

About this grant
This grant provides landlords with support towards the cost of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle chargepoints at residential properties. This grant supports landlords in installing electric vehicle chargepoint sockets at residential properties. You can get 75% off the cost of buying and installing chargepoints up to a maximum of £500 per socket. The property must be located in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland. If your property is in the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, it is not eligible.
